We had a wonderful time, thanks to the charming hospitality of Emmett Davenport and the Ducole Company, and the delightful company of Taloolah Love, Droctor Q, and many excellent folks we met in Pittsboro and at the Torchlight Tavern. Saturday, October 15 we will be in the beautiful town of Pittsboro, North Carolina to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting populace. And they invited us! Perhaps they have us confused with some reputable and less chaotic family, but nevertheless we shall be there, amusing ourselves (and you, if you’re lucky enough to be there!)
The event is Pittsboro by Gaslight. We share have our fortunes told by the Bearded Lady! We shall listen to many marvelous musical ensembles! We shall (well, some of us shall, probably not the kids) take burlesque lessons from Taloolah Love! We shall attend the Fictitious History Tour, and possibly create some fictitious history, while we’re at it. We shall devour art and delicious beverages at Davenport & Winkleperry, stroll the lanes, and look for trouble. If we can’t find any, we’ll make it!

Excellent to make your acquaintance as well, sir! We are frantically preparing for the Catoctin Holiday Art Tour this weekend. Herr von Hedwig and Captain Charette will debut their steampunk toyes and adventure necessaries, opening their Virginia studio to visitors Nov 12-13. After the tour frenzy is over, he will have time to sort through photos. I will post when the Steampunk Family Flickr is updated. Hopefully, we have some pictures that capture the fun we had!
